The tagua nut is from the tagua palm tree that grows in the rain forests of Ecuador. The nuts are harvested (about the size of a walnut) when they drop to the ground, then polished, sliced, carved and dyed with natural vegetable dyes ~ tagua is also known as vegetable ivory. There is nothing like it, beautiful!
